There are forests, there are planets, there is the moon. In this universe, you are nothing but a speckity spec.
***
There is another universe inside you. A double universe. Made of blood and bone and goo.
***
On a night of fullest moon, the two universes meet. Ooh, says the inner universe, look at that big white spot in the sky.
***
Your doctor examines your inner universe, he looks and he looks, but even he can’t find the speckity spec in you that is happy. It’s been waning and waning and gone.
***
You know that one day you will burn out or burst out or however universes end. Historians will look for your artifacts. People will possibly major in you. Someone will get a PhD about your happiness spot.
***
Meanwhile, the moon will continue, the stars, the shine, the darkness.
